Introduction
The Polling Application is a web-based application in which prices of around 120 commodities are polled from different commodity markets spread across the sub-continent. Information agencies such as CMIE, CRISIL and NCMSL collect these prices from over 1500 market traders and login from their respective locations and enter the bootstrapped price of the commodities, which is then validated by the application and sent to the NCDEX Trading system for SPOT price ticker generation. This enables the members of the exchange to be informed about the spot market prices of the commodities.
